Important: The $270 price is for standard R134a regassing up to 1,100 grams.
The R1234yf starting price includes up to 600 grams. If your vehicle requires refrigerant above the applicable allowance, any additional charge will be explained before proceeding.
Repair starting prices depend on the vehicle, parts, labour and system condition.
What’s Included in a Car Aircon Regas?
Our mobile R134a and R1234yf regas services include:
- Initial AC inspection and appropriate leak testing.
- Trace-A-Gas leak detection where suitable.
- Refrigerant recovery where applicable.
- Vacuum evacuation and system checks.
- Recharge to the manufacturer’s specified refrigerant weight.
- Appropriate compressor oil and UV dye.
- Final cooling-performance testing.
A straightforward inspection and regas generally takes approximately 30–40 minutes, depending on vehicle and system condition.
We don’t simply top up refrigerant without checking the system first.

When Does the $170 Inspection Fee Apply?
We want customers to understand the charges before booking.
If your car passes inspection: We complete the appropriate regas. The initial inspection and standard leak testing are included in the regas price, with no additional inspection charge.
If repairs are required: We’ll explain the problem and provide a repair quote before proceeding.
If the regas cannot proceed or you decline the required repairs: The $170 inspection fee applies instead of a regas charge.
If you only need a diagnostic inspection: The standalone inspection charge is $170.
More extensive, separately requested leak investigations may incur additional charges, which we’ll explain before proceeding.

Refrigerant Recovery Only
We also provide mobile refrigerant recovery for customers who need gas removed before suitable vehicle repairs, component removal or dismantling.
This is a standalone service and does not include regassing, component repairs or additional diagnostic work.
Refrigerant recovery performed as part of a successfully completed regas is already included in that regas service.
